Kay & Co Agency is opening a new office in Kings Cross Google building

The London family-run Estate agent will be opening their third office, which will operate across Kings Cross and Bloomsbury. The agency has said that the new office "fits in with our plans to open new offices in under-served areas with excellent growth potential"

Scotland's housing proposals in Programme for Government 

 In the paper the minister sets out three key actions for the year ahead and further, for tackling the current housing crisis. The paper also highlights other current issues and challenges that they plan to tackle, including Land and Buildings Transaction (LBTT) Bill, Planning Bill and the Warm Homes Bill

Flotation of Agents' Mutual to be allowed to go ahead 

Following a meeting of the High Court, the appropriate processes behind the decision have now been sanctioned. Previously there had been an attempt to overturn the flotation proposal, due to allegations of material facts not being put before members and lack of appropriate consultation, put forward by a Gold OnTheMarket member.

24-hour web chat to be introduced by the Property Ombudsman 

To enhance the way consumer complaints are dealt with online, and after a rising number of complaints, TPO have announced plans to introduce a 24-hour, seven days a week chat function. The chat will allow users to access independent dispute advice and resolution via the TPO website. The announcement comes after a 3 month trial of the service by chat provider, Yomdel.

6,500th appointment for Viewber

The outsourced viewing service marks it's first year with it's 6,500th appointment. Since starting a year ago, over 500 registered clients from all areas of the market have joined. Vieber allows agents to service viewings using a pool of 2,200 freelance viewing agents.
